【摘要】:1.1Thesedigitalreferenceimagesillustratethetypesanddegreesofdiscontinuitiesthatmaybefoundinaluminum-alloycastings.Thecastingsillustratedareinthicknessesof1/4in.[6.35mm]and3/4in.[19.1mm].1.2Allareasofthisstandardmaybeopentoagreementbetweenthecognizantengineeringorganizationandthesupplier,orspecificdirectionfromthecognizantengineeringorganization.Theseitemsshouldbeaddressedinthepurchaseorderorthecontract.1.3Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.1.4Thesedigitalreferenceimagesarenotintendedtoillustratethetypesanddegreesofdiscontinuitiesfoundinaluminum-alloycastingswhenperformingfilmradiography.Ifperformingfilmradiographyofaluminum-alloycastings,refertoReferenceRadiographsE155.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.1.5Onlylicensedcopiesofthesoftwareandimagesshallbeutilizedforproductioninspection.AcopyoftheASTM/Userlicenseagreementshallbekeptonfileforauditpurposes.Note1Thesetofdigitalreferenceimagesconsistsof13digitalfiles,softwaretoloadthedesiredformatandspecificinstructionsontheloadingprocess.The13referenceimagesillustrateeightgradesofseverityandcontainanimageofastepwedgeandtwolinepairgauges.RefertoPracticeE2002forlinepairgaugedetails.Note2Referenceradiographsapplicabletoaluminumandmagnesiumdiecastingsupto1in.[25mm]inthicknessarecontainedinReferenceRadiographsE505.
